Privacy Policy
Effective August 29, 2026. This replaces our previous policy in full.
High Flow Drainage Solutions, LLC (“High Flow”, “we”, “us”) is a drainage contractor in the Kansas City area. This policy explains what we collect when you use highflowdrainagesolutions.com, what we do with it, who else receives it, and what you can tell us to stop.
We have written it to be read rather than skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, email us at highflow8@outlook.com and we will answer in plain language.
The short version
- We collect what you type into our booking form, and standard technical information your browser sends to any website.
- We use Google and Facebook advertising tools to work out which ads bring people here. These build a profile of you that can follow you to other websites. Under several state privacy laws that counts as “sharing” your information, even though no money changes hands.
- We have never sold your personal information for money, and we do not intend to.
- You can turn the advertising tools off at any time using at the bottom of any page. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
- We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
What we collect
Information you give us
Our booking form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the address where the work would be done, its ZIP code, the type of drainage problem, and anything you choose to write in the notes field. You give this to us so we can schedule and carry out a consultation. If you would rather not type it into a form, call us on (816) 826-8794 instead.
When you book, you are asked to agree that we may contact you by email, phone or text about that appointment — confirmations, reminders and scheduling changes. That is a separate, required agreement. A second, optional box asks whether you also want occasional drainage tips and offers. Ticking the first does not tick the second, and you can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time without losing appointment reminders.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, ours receives your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you visit, when you visit them, how long you stay, and the site or ad you arrived from. If you arrive from a Google ad, the URL carries a click identifier (gclid) that lets Google tell us that ad produced a visit.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver’s licence, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, sexual orientation, immigration status, or the contents of your private communications. Under California law these are “sensitive personal information”; we collect none of them and therefore never use or disclose them.

Google Tag Manager, Analytics and Ads are operated by Google LLC; see Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services. The Pixel is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.; see Meta’s privacy policy. Plausible Analytics is operated by Plausible Insights OÜ in the European Union; see their privacy policy.
How we ask, and how to change your mind
If you are visiting from outside Missouri or Kansas, you will see a notice at the bottom of the screen before any advertising tool runs. Until you answer it:
- the Meta Pixel is not loaded onto the page at all;
- Google’s tags are held in a restricted state that writes no advertising or analytics cookies and sends Google only an anonymous signal;
- Plausible does not run.
Visitors in Missouri and Kansas are not shown the notice and these tools run normally. Neither state has a comprehensive consumer privacy statute, and between them they are our entire service area — our customers in Overland Park are not in a different legal position from our customers in Lee’s Summit. Everyone, wherever they are, can change this at any time using in the footer of every page.
Your choice is stored in your browser, not on our servers, and applies to that browser on that device. Clearing your browsing data clears it, and you will be asked again.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sharing described above, and we honour it without asking you to do anything else.

- Your browser’s own settings can block or delete cookies from any of them.
What we use your information for
- Scheduling, confirming and carrying out your consultation and any work that follows.
- Contacting you about that appointment by email, phone or text.
- Sending marketing messages, but only if you asked for them.
- Understanding which pages and which ads bring us customers.
- Keeping the site working, secure and free of abuse.
- Meeting our legal, tax and insurance obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not profile you for anything beyond the advertising measurement described above.
Who else sees it
We give personal information to these categories of recipient, and no others:
- Advertising and analytics providers — Google and Meta, as set out above. This is the “sharing” you can opt out of.
- Service providers who run our systems on our instructions — our website host, our database provider, our email sending service, and the job-management software we use to schedule and quote work. They may only use your information to provide that service to us.
- Subcontractors, where one is needed to carry out work you have booked, and only what they need to do it.
- Anyone we are legally required to give it to — in response to a valid subpoena, court order or lawful request, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
- A buyer of the business, if High Flow is ever sold or merged. We would tell you before your information became subject to a different policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we have not done so in the twelve months before the date at the top of this page. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
How long we keep it
- Booking and customer records — for as long as you are a customer and then seven years, which is how long we may need them for tax, warranty and insurance purposes.
- Enquiries that never became a job — up to three years, then deleted.
- Marketing contact details — until you unsubscribe, plus a permanent record of the unsubscribe itself so we do not contact you again by mistake.
- Analytics data — held by Google under its own retention settings, and by Plausible in aggregate form with no personal identifiers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, some or all of the following apply to you. We extend all of them to everyone who asks, wherever they live, because operating two standards is a way to get one of them wrong.
- Know and access — what we hold about you, where we got it, why we have it, and who we gave it to.
- Delete — subject to what we must keep for tax, warranty or legal reasons.
- Correct — anything inaccurate.
- Portability — a copy in a usable format.
- Opt out of targeted advertising and of “sharing” — the footer link, or a Global Privacy Control signal.
- Not be discriminated against for asking. We will not charge you more, give you worse service, or refuse to work for you because you exercised a right on this page.
- Appeal — if we refuse a request, you may appeal by replying to our refusal. We will respond in writing within 45 days with our reasoning. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Texas and Oregon may then complain to their state Attorney General.
Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom additionally have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to complain to their national data protection authority.
How to make a request
Email highflow8@outlook.com with what you want us to do. So that we do not hand your information to someone else, we will ask you to confirm details we already hold — usually the email address or phone number on the booking. If you are asking on someone else’s behalf, we will need their written authorisation.
We answer within 45 days. If a request is genuinely complicated we may take a further 45 days, and we will tell you within the first 45 if that happens. There is no charge unless a request is repetitive or excessive, and we would tell you before doing anything that cost you money.
Security
Your information is held in access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit, and reachable only by the people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise; if a breach ever affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Children
This site is for adults arranging drainage work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email highflow8@outlook.com and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
We operate in Missouri and Kansas and our systems are in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is transferred here and handled under United States law, which may protect it differently from the law where you live. We are a local drainage contractor and do not target or offer services outside the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to places we do not control — Google reviews, our social accounts, supplier documentation. Once you follow one of those links, this policy stops applying and theirs begins.
Changes to this policy
When we change anything that affects what we collect or who receives it, we update the effective date at the top and ask for your permission again — a stored agreement to an older version does not carry over. Material changes are posted here before they take effect.
